Welcome to Room 213!
Rooms 213 and 208 worked in small groups to brainstorm rules for our classroom that will help us to achieve our goals. After much brainstorming, discussing, and voting the class came up with the following 4 rules for our classroom:
Work hard, focus, and do your best work
Respect our materials and our classroom
Respect the safety of our class and the whole school
Treat others kindly and with respect
We are currently beginning our personal narratives to focus on during our Writing Workshop. Ask your child about their topic. You may be able to help them remember details from the event they have chosen to write about. Our mini lessons will focus on "showing and not telling," adding detail, word choice, and a good lead sentence. The students will be looking forward to sharing their work!
